… likely that he might order the FBI, backed up by the military if necessary, to round up and detain any American residents of Middle Eastern descent who were currently under any suspicion at all by the FBI. It seems unlikely that this would be done as it was during World War II, when whole Japanese families were gathered up and moved well away from the West coast to inland interment camps based solely on their race. Even in such a crisis, the rest of the world might disapprove of imprisoning women and children, but any person of Middle Eastern descent …
